Men’s Golf In 15th At Wolf Pack Classic

Day 1 Results

LAKE TAHOE, Nevada – The University of Hawai'i Warrior golf team is currently in 15th place at the Wolf Pack Classic, Monday, at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. Through wet conditions and a lighting delay, the men were able to get in two rounds of play, ending the day with a 612 (311-301).
 
Leading the Warriors is junior #T.J. Kua# at five-over par (75-74=149). Kua improved from the first to the second round, moving up six places while shooting one-under in par-3 scoring. He goes into the final round tied for 39th place.
 
Also competing for UH are sophomore Henry Park (77-73=150) and senior Kamden Brakel (78-73=151). Both men carded a 73 in the second round, shaving four and five strokes, respectively, off their first rounds scores. Park is currently in a tie for 46th while Brakel is tied for 55th place.
 
Freshman Nainoa Calip (81-81=162/78th) and sophomore Cory Oride (81-82=163/T79th) round out the Warrior roster.
 
Leading the team standings is San Diego (280-284=564), with its own Alex Ching leading individually at seven-under par (67-70=137). San Diego has a commanding 12-stroke advantage going into Round 3.
 
The tournament concludes Tuesday with the third and final round.
