Game Notes
The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team heads to the road for three straight matches, including a pair of Western Athletic Conference contests this weekend at San Jose State (Oct. 8) and Fresno State (Oct. 10). UH will also face Cal State Bakersfield (Oct. 12) in a non-conference match.
The Rainbow Wahine (2-10-1) are looking to get back on the winning track. UH is winless in its last eight matches (0-7-1) and got off to a 0-2 start in WAC play with a pair of home losses to Boise State and Idaho. In addition, UH was dealt a crushing blow in its last match when senior co-captain and leading scorer
Mari Punzal was lost for the season with a knee injury.
On a positive note, the Rainbow Wahine finally got on the scoreboard when
Lauren Ho's first half goal against Idaho ended a UH scoreless streak that lasted six matches.
UH is 1-3-1 in matches away from home this season and played to 0-0 double-overtime draw at Pacific in its last road match on Sept. 26.
