HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team opens its 2010-11 campaign with the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Oct. 7-9, at the UH Tennis Complex.

 

The tournament will be a local affair with Chaminade, Hawai'i Pacific and host Hawai`i and will include both singles and doubles action. First serve will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

 

Head coach Jun Hernandez returns seven letterwinners from last year – Dasha Lagmay, Alyssa Nafarrete, Barbara Pinterova, Katarina Poljakova, Mari Tadaki, Aglae Van den Bergh and lone senior Natasha Zorec. UH also welcomes two newcomers, including Magdalena Ploch a transfer from Massachusetts and a former Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year.
