HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team continued action in the second day of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Friday at the UH Tennis Complex.
The Rainbow Wahine hosted local schools Chaminade and Hawai'i Pacific with both singles and doubles competition. Eight Rainbow Wahine players were in action on the day as UH went 4-3 in singles and 4-1 in doubles.

Magdalena Ploch powered UH in doubles with a pair of wins. The duo defeated the HPU team of Sandra Wikstrom of Florie Paquay 8-4, then rolled past Silkie Kawahakui and Yuka Kondo of Chaminade, 8-2. Meanwhile, UH picked up four wins in singles competition with Ploch,
Barbara Pinterova,
Alyssa Nafarrete and
Mari Tadaki all winning in straight sets.
The three-day tournament concludes Saturday with first serve at 10:00 a.m. at the UH Tennis Complex.
