Sprint Events - Top Performers
Paxton Sokham, Konawaena - He became the first Hawaii athlete to dip under 50 seconds in the 400m dash this season en route to winning the event at the BIIF @ KS Hawaii. The senior ran a new personal best time of 49.94 after setting another personal best and finishing 2nd in the 100m dash earlier in the day.
Faith Mataele, Kahuka - Undefeated on the track in 2026, the junior has won all five of her sprint events, including three races in the 400m dash, and two in the 100m hurdles - an event she leads the state in, having run an early-season 16.43. Last May, she ran a 15.30, indicating she is capable of much more over the next five weeks of action across the Aloha State.
Alexis Loftin, Leilehua - She is enjoying a strong season in the sprint events, winning all seven of her races in the 100m and 200m dash events. The sophomore has emerged as one of the state's best sprinters, ranking 3rd in the 200m and 400m dash events, and will be someone to keep an eye on as the season rolls along.
Alexandria Manuel, Miliani - The senior scored her first win of the season in the 400m dash at the 3rd Waialua Qualifying Meet, running a 3.3-second personal best time of 60.79. Her new mark ranks her as the state's 4th best in the 400m event.

Field Events - Top Performers
Caleb Koko, Baldwin - The senior picked up a pair of wins last weekend in the 110m hurdles and triple jump. His jump of 44-3 established him as an early-season leader in the field event, which he finished 11th in at the state meet last spring.
Railee Manaba-Mikami, Mililani - With two others sitting at 6-0, the senior set himself apart from other athletes in the high jump over the weekend, clearing 6-4 at the 3rd Waialua Qualifying meet. In his first competition in over two years, he improved upon his previous best by 10 inches and could be a threat to be Hawaii's next best high jumper.
Kalei Harbottle, Kamehameha Maui - The senior tossed 61-0 in the shot put at the 79th Punahou Relays last weekend, setting a new personal best and US #27 in the event. He also won the discus, giving him his second win of the season in the event, and more momentum as we continue to count down the weeks until the Hawaii State Championships.
Allie Kennedy, Kamehameha Maui - She set an HA #1 in the pole vault last weekend, clearing 11-0 at the Valley Isle Road Runners meet. The senior has won 8 of her last 10 pole vault competitions dating back to last season and will be looking to finish one spot better at the HSAA Championships and claim her first state title in May.

Distance Events - Top Performers
Finn Hensley, Seabury Hall - A state champion last cross country season, the senior opened up his season by winning the Valley Isle Road Runners one-mile event last weekend, running a 4:47.73. He finished 7th in the 1,500m at the state meet last spring, but might be even more dangerous in the 3,000m come May, as he finished 3rd at state last year.
Raymond Garman, Kamehameha - He cruised to a dominant win at the Punahou Relays last Saturday, crossing the line in 4:10.42 in the 1,500m. He finished 6th at last year's state meet, and after cruising in his season debut, it's safe to say the junior will be a title contender at next month's state championships.
Freya Carlsen, Seabury Hall - The senior won a pair of distance events in her season debut at the Valley Isle Road Runners meet, winning the 800m and one-mile events. She was undefeated in the 5K this cross country season, winning her first state title in November, and will now look to win another on the oval.
