HONOLULU – Two of the nation's most prolific offenses collide this week when the University of Hawai'i football team hosts No. 19/21 Nevada, Saturday, Oct. 16 in a Western Athletic Conference showdown at Aloha Stadium. Kick-off is 5:30 p.m.

The Warriors (4-2, 2-0 WAC) enter the contest with a three-game win streak after a convincing 49-27 victory at Fresno State last Saturday. In the win, quarterback Bryant Moniz passed for 376 yards and three touchdowns while running back Alex Green tallied 96 yards and three scores on the ground. Slot receiver Greg Salas had nine catches for 148 yards and three TDs.

The Wolf Pack (6-0, 1-0) continued their unblemished record with a 35-13 win over San Jose State in Reno, Nev. Running back Vai Taua rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns and earned WAC Offensive Player of the Week honors. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick passed for 273 yards and rushed for 91 yards and found the endzone twice.

Both teams feature potent offenses which rank among the nation's leaders. UH leads the country in passing (421.7) and ranks sixth in total offense (496.7) and 11th in scoring (39.3). The Wolf Pack rank second in total offense (545.3), fifth in rushing (314.3), and seventh in scoring (43.0).

Last season, the Wolf Pack won 31-21 in Reno, Nev., despite falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter. Moniz passed for 374 yards and three scores while Kaepernick passed for 184 yards and rushed for 114 more while accounting for four scores.
