IRVINE, Calif. – The University of Hawai`i men's tennis team completed competition in the USTA/ITA Southwest Regional Tennis Championships at the campus of UC Irvine as the remaining Rainbow Warriors were eliminated in bracket play.

 

Senior Dennis Lajola advanced to the round of 16 in singles as the No. 11 seed, but saw his run end with a 6-1, 7-6 loss to No. 3 seed Chris Kearney of host UC Irvine. In doubles, Lajola and partner David Schuster, seeded ninth, fell to Clay Thompson and Daniel Kosakowski of UCLA 8-5 in the round of 16.

 

Up next for the Rainbow Warriors is a mock dual match against Stanford on Nov. 23 at Waikoloa, Hawai'i.
