Basketball Individual Tickets On Sale Now

HONOLULU – Individual-game tickets for the 2010-11 University of Hawai`i men's and women's basketball seasons are on sale now. Fans can purchase tickets online, at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office, or by calling 944-2697 (BOWS).
 
Money-saving opportunities are available by clicking on the “Fan Promotions & Ticket Discounts” button at HawaiiAthletics.com. “Family Pack” and group-ticket discounts, as well as 50% off savings for season-ticket holders, UH alumni association members, and military members, are available for select games and seats. 
 
The box office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed on holidays). Phone sales hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed on holidays).
 
The men's basketball team will play a schedule highlighted by the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic and the second annual Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic. Two games on the men's schedule will be $10 general admission – the exhibition game versus Chaminade (Nov. 6) and the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic finale versus Central Michigan (Nov. 15), which will be broadcast nationally on ESPN at 11:00 p.m. (Hawaii Time).
 
 Tickets for the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, Dec. 22, 23 and 25, are also available. The 12-game tournament will have both general and reserved seating throughout six sessions, with prices ranging from $10-$26. Tournament packages are also available.
 
Meanwhile, adult women's basketball individual-game ticket prices remain the same as last season. All tickets will be general admission. The Rainbow Wahine host three preseason tournaments at the Stan Sheriff Center, including the Jack in the Box Rainbow Wahine Classic (Nov. 19-21), the Pepsi Rainbow Wahine Invitational (Dec. 28-30) and the eight-team Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown (Nov. 26-28).

The Rainbow Warriors are under the direction of new head coach Gib Arnold and welcome 10 newcomers to the team. UH will host an exhibition against Chaminade on Nov. 6, before officially opening the 2010-11 regular season against Montana State on Nov. 12 in the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic. Hawai`i will also play host to the second annual Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, Dec. 22, 23 and 25, with a field that includes NCAA finalist Butler as well as Baylor, a squad that advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight.
 
 Meanwhile, the Rainbow Wahine and second-year head coach Dana Takahara-Dias welcome back three starters and 10 letterwinners to this year's squad. The Rainbow Wahine will face a tough non-conference slate, including 14 teams that saw post-season action last year. UH will play 19 regular-season home games and host four tournaments. UH will play a pair of exhibition games (Chaminade, Nov. 4 and BYU-Hawai'i, Nov. 11) before hosting Cal State Northridge in the Jack in the Box Rainbow Wahine Classic on Nov. 19.
