Warriors Host Homecoming Game Against Idaho

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Warrior football team hosts its Homecoming Game against Idaho, Saturday, Oct. 30. Kick-off for the Western Athletic Conference match-up is 5:30 p.m. at Aloha Stadium.
 
The Warriors (6-2, 4-0 WAC) won their fifth consecutive game last week after a 45-7 rout of Utah State in Logan, Utah. UH improved to 4-0 in WAC play for just the third time in school history and received the second highest votes among teams outside the Top 25 in this week's Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls.
 
Reigning WAC player of the week Alex Green led the Warriors with 172 yards rushing on 14 carries and four touchdowns. Linebacker Corey Paredes captured the weekly award for the second straight week after recording 10 tackles and his first two interceptions of his career. The Warriors out-gained the Aggies, 605-to-181.
 
Idaho (4-3, 1-1) defeated New Mexico State, 37-14 last week in Moscow, Idaho. The Vandals jumped out to a 31-0 lead and quarterback Nathan Enderle passed for 291 yards and three touchdowns.
 
The game will feature two of the nation's top passing offenses. Behind quarterback Bryant Moniz, Hawai'i leads the nation, averaging 400.8 yards per game while the Vandals are No. 4 at 342.0 per game. Moniz is the nation's leader in both passing (365.1) and total offense (374.0).
 
UH leads the all-time series 8-2. The Vandals snapped a seven-game UH win streak in the series with a 35-23 victory in Moscow last season.
