UH Divers Sweep At Senior Meet

Final Results

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's and women's diving teams dominated its Senior Meet this weekend, winning all four diving events at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.

UH competed against two diving squads at the meet, Iao Diving and Sunshine Diving. Junior Douglas Cohen won the men's one-meter with a score of 337.85 while teammates junior Thomas Rugg (329.75), freshman Luke Hayes (312.50) and sophomore Freddie Menzel (279.65) followed up with second, third, and fourth place finishes.
 
On the men's three-meter dive, Rugg took first with a score of 349.10. Teammates Cohen (333.15), Hayes (306.40), and Menzel (282.50) followed through again finishing second, third, and fourth after Rugg.
 
For the Rainbow Wahine junior Daniella Nero won both events, earning scores of 247.90 on the one-meter and 266.70 on the three-meter.
 
Following Nero on the one-meter, sophomore Hannah Bocksnick placed second (222.95) while freshman Genevieve Bradley took fourth (187.80).
 
On the women's three-meter, Bocksnick took second again (261.80), while senior Stephanie De Lima (196.10) and Bradley (187.50) finished fourth and fifth.
 
Next the men's and women's diving team host a dual-meet against the Sun Devils of Arizona State at the DKAC from Nov. 5-6.
