Final Results
MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Hawai'i women's cross country team placed seventh at the Western Athletic Conference Championships Saturday at Virgil Phillips Farm County Park. The meet was held in 40 degree and overcast conditions.
UH's top finisher was
Ashley Aitken, who completed the 5K course in 18:13.33 to finished 14th overall. For her efforts, Aitken earned second-team all-WAC honors.
Idaho captured the team title with three Top 10 finishers while New Mexico State's Courtney Schultz edged her sister Camille Schultz for top individual honors. Utah State finished second (69) followed by NMSU (75), Boise State (89), Fresno State (129), Nevada (140), UH (182), San Jose State (226), and Louisiana Tech (286).
Also scoring team points for the Rainbow Wahine were
Kevyn Murphy (18:57.31/36th),
Dominique Miller (19:03.74/42nd),
Ashlee Jimenez (19:34.58/50th), and
Mariana Monasi (19:53.64/58th).
Other UH participants included
Liisa Cushing (19:54.83/59th) and
Alison Williams (20:30.66/65th).
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the NCAA West Regionals, Nov. 13, in Springfield, Ore.
