Hawai‘i Softball Hosts Chaminade in Three-Game Series

HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i softball team continues its fall slate of games with a three-game series against Chaminade this week. The two teams will square off in a doubleheader starting at 12:00 pm on Saturday, Nov. 6.  All games are free at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

The 'Bows swept Christian Brothers University in a mid-October doubleheader in which both of UH's starting pitchers, Stephanie Ricketts and Kaia Parnaby, fired one-hit shut-outs. Ricketts opened the fall season giving up just a single with a walk and six strike outs in five innings of work, while Parnaby tossed a seven inning complete game with two walks and nine strike outs.

Third baseman Melissa Gonzalez returns for her senior campaign and against Christian Brothers, she hit .600 (3-for-5) with three doubles and two RBI. Sophomore shortstop Jessica Iwata hit .429 (3-for-7) on the night with a run scored.
