Diving Concludes Dual-Meet Against Arizona State With One Win

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's and women's diving teams concluded its two-day dual diving event against top rival Arizona State today at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex, springing away with one win on the women's three meter dive.

On Friday ASU finished first on both the men's and women's one meter dives. All-American Elina Eggers won with a score of 302.50. Junior Daniella Nero (279.75) and senior Stephanie De Lima followed with a second and third place finish for UH.

Cameron Bradshaw took first on the men's one-meter with a score of 386.65 followed by teammates Riley McCormick (373.95) and Constantine Blaha (363.05) in second and third. UH's Douglas Cohen finished on top for the Rainbow Warriors placing fourth with 322.75.

The Sun Devils swept the mixed pairs team dives this morning finishing in first, second, and third place. ASU's Eggers and Coco Blaha won the event with a score of 383.65 for while Nero and junior Thomas Rugg scored 309.50 for a fourth place finish for UH.

Later the Rainbow Wahine outscored ASU on the three meter dive with first and second place finishes. Sophomore Hannah Bocksnick won with a score of 319.60 while Nero followed for a close second with a score of 319.10. ASU's Hailey Casper placed third scoring 301.20.

ASU's men finished on top on the three meter dive with first, second, and third place finishes over UH. Blaha won the event with a score of 441.20 while McCormick (366.90) and Chris Pasanella (351.05) followed behind. Cohen (348.40) led UH on the three meter in fourth place while Rugg finished fifth with 337.60.

 Next the UH swimming and diving teams head to the road for the Toshiba Classic from Nov. 18-20 in Long Beach, Calif. and the Wildcat Invitational from Nov. 19-21 in Tuscon, Ariz.
