Win Streaks On The Line For No. 3 Rainbow Wahine

The No. 3 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team will make its final Western Athletic Conference road trip of the season with matches against Fresno State, Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7:00 p.m. PT (5:00 p.m. HT), San Jose State, Saturday, Nov. 13 at 1:00 p.m. PT (11:00 a.m. HT), and Nevada, Sunday, Nov. 14 at 6:00 p.m. PT (4:00 p.m. HT).
 
The Rainbow Wahine (23-1, 12-0 WAC) have won their last 18 matches, including the last 16 in straight sets. UH has won all 12 conference matches in straight sets and have a streak of 47 consecutive sets won. The school record is 54 set during the 2002 season.
 
UH opens the road trip against Fresno State (11-14, 5-8), a team the Rainbow Wahine have not lost to in 48 all-time meetings. Hawai'i then travels to San Jose State (8-19, 3-10), and takes with them a 39-match win streak over the Spartans dating back to 1993. The road trip concludes at Nevada (13-13, 7-6), which UH owns a current 34-match win streak since 1992.
 
Hawai'i is coming off a 3-0 victory over in-state rival Hawai'i Pacific last Saturday. Chanteal Satele had a match-high eight kills with four blocks, while Brittany Hewitt recorded six kills and five blocks against the Division II Lady Sea Warriors.
 
Following the road trip, UH returns to Honolulu to wrap up the regular season against Idaho, Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Stan Sheriff Center.
