Cross Country Concludes Season At West Regionals

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The University of Hawai'i women's cross country team concluded the 2010 season Saturday with a 30th place finish at the NCAA West Regional Championships at Springfield Country Club.
 
UH's top finisher was senior Ashley Aitken, who completed the 6K course in 22:23.22 for 135th place. Aitken completed her two-year career with Hawai'i by leading the team in every meet this season.
 
Freshman Kevyn Murphy followed closely behind in 22:46.87 for 165th place while rounding out the team scorers were Dominique Miller (23:19.22/194th), Ashlee Jimenez (24:06.16/210th), and Liisa Cushing (24:06.99/211th). Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine was Alison Williams (25:21.17/219th).
 
Washington edged host Oregon for the team championship with 73 total points and four finishers in the Top 20. Oregon's Jordan Hasay captured the individual title, crossing the finish line in 20:01.90.
