Sprints & Hurdles
Kaumaka Olson (Kamehameha Schools Maui) put together one of the most complete sprint performances of the week, winning the 100 meters in 10.88 while also lowering his 400-meter best to 52.54. His range was on full display with a 22.45 runner-up finish in the 200.
Cooper Watkins (Baldwin High School) found another gear in the 200 meters, dropping to 22.06 for the win at the KSM Relays and continuing a steady progression from earlier in the season.
Exodus Brown (St. Louis School) delivered one of the more notable breakthroughs, slicing nearly a full second off his previous best in the 200 meters. His 23.11 performance marked a significant jump from his 23.99 PR set last year.
On the girls side, Violet Schaut (Konawaena High School) controlled the sprints at BIIF competition, winning the 100 meters in 12.16 and showing impressive strength with a 55.42 victory in the 400.
Emily Sparks (Punahou School) continued her progression in the 200 meters, trimming her PR down to 25.20 while also capturing the 100 meters against a deep field of 50 athletes.
Another breakthrough came from Zia Miel Fontanilla (Farrington High School), who lowered her marks in both sprint events. She posted a 13.40 in the 100 and 27.74 in the 200, showing steady improvement across both distances.
Middle Distance & Distance
Aiden Von Dohlen (Hanalani Schools) made a major leap in the 3000 meters, dropping over 25 seconds to run 9:22.13. The sophomore now ranks among the top runners in the state and added another PR in the 800 meters at 2:06.24, highlighting his developing range.
Raymond Garman (Kamehameha Schools Maui) delivered a strong performance in the 800 meters, breaking into the 1:56 range with a 1:56.07 victory at Velasco. He also posted a PR of 52.10 in the 400, showing improved speed that will benefit him in his primary event.
Jonah Campos (Radford High School) also saw a sizable improvement in the 800 meters, lowering his best by three seconds to 2:06.49 in a competitive field.
On the girls side, Myla Camilon (Hanalani Schools) cut down her 3000-meter time to 12:06.50, continuing a steady progression as one of the top freshmen in the state.
Field Events
Pau Spencer (Kamehameha Schools Maui) improved on his discus best with a throw of 171-10 to secure the win at the KSM Relays, continuing his upward trajectory from last season.
An even bigger breakthrough came from Tevita Paongo (Campbell High School), who launched a 171-2 throw in the discus to not only set a personal best but also establish a new school record and move to #1 in Hawaii.
In the pole vault, Brady Awakuni (Iolani School) cleared 14-7 to take over the state lead, improving from 14-1 and showing strong progression as the season builds.
On the girls side, Cassera Togia White (Farrington High School) controlled the discus field with a 141-11 mark, winning at Velasco by a comfortable margin.
Naobi Oxendine-Degree (Leilehua High School) delivered one of the top jumps of the week, improving her long jump best by nearly a foot to 18-2 to secure the win at the Smithe Invitational and strengthen her position among the state's top sophomores.
Meanwhile, Destiny Look (Mid-Pacific Institute) showcased exceptional versatility, picking up wins across two separate meets last week in the hurdles, sprints, and both horizontal jumps. Her 38-5.25 triple jump and 18-2.5 long jump highlighted a dominant multi-event week against strong competition.
