BIIF Last Chance MeetHawaii high school track and field athletes posted personal records at meets during the week of April 27.
Cassera Togia White (Farrington) threw 161-1.5 in the discus at the OIA Varsity Eastern Division Track Championships at Moanalua on April 30, improving from her previous best of 146-9. The mark set a school record and moved White to #1 in Hawaii among 206 athletes. White won the event with 17 competitors.
Danilynn Padilla (Keaau) ran 11:17.70 in the girls' 3000 meters at the BIIF Last Chance Meet on May 2, improving from her previous best of 11:45.39. The time set a school record and moved the sophomore to #15 in Hawaii and #4 among sophomores statewide. Padilla placed second among 11 competitors.
Raiyan Rahman (Waiakea) ran 11.57 in the boys' 100 meters at the BIIF Last Chance Meet on May 2, improving from his previous best of 12.39. The time moved Rahman to #100 in Hawaii among 963 athletes and he placed 16th among 104 competitors. Rahman also set a personal record in the 110m hurdles, running 17.79 to improve from 18.39.
Jordan Manatan (Kohala) ran 23.72 in the boys' 200 meters at the BIIF Last Chance Meet on May 2, improving from his previous best of 24.48. The time moved Manatan to #89 in Hawaii among 907 athletes and he placed 13th among 71 competitors. Manatan also set a personal record in the 100 meters, running 11.87 to improve from 11.99.
Oscar Reed (Hawaii Preparatory Academy) ran 9:44.55 in the boys' 3000 meters at the BIIF Last Chance Meet on May 2, improving from his previous best of 9:59.87 set in April 2026. The time moved Reed to #27 in Hawaii among 258 athletes and he placed fourth among 20 competitors.
Faith Mataele (Kahuku) ran 12.49 in the girls' 100 meters at the OIA Varsity Eastern Division Track Championships at Moanalua on April 30, improving from her previous best of 12.73 set in April 2026. The time moved Mataele to #9 in Hawaii among 629 athletes and she placed second among 22 competitors. Mataele also set personal records in the 100m hurdles (15.04, improving from 15.13) and 200 meters (26.00, improving from 26.54).
Mila O'Rourke (Kapaa) ran 13.01 in the girls' 100 meters at the KIF Rotary Meet on May 2, improving from her previous best of 13.14. The time moved O'Rourke to #30 in Hawaii among 629 athletes and she placed second among 12 competitors.
