3. New York Produces Over 500 Elite Performances At State Meet

New York finished out its high school season with a stellar state championship display at Union-Endicott High School, producing over 500 elite performances. 

Rush Henrietta High junior Lanae-Tava Thomas tripled in the 100m (11.89), 200m (24.26) and LJ (20-7). 

North Rockland freshman Katelyn Tuohy posted a new US No. 1 in the girls 1500m in 4:18.51, which converts out to the top time in the nation at the full mile. 

Corning's Kevin Moshier doubled in the 1600m (4:12.81) and in the 3200m (9:11.34) and Huntington's Kyree Johnson ran a blistering US No. 17 time of 46.56 seconds in the boys 400m. 

Smithtown East's Daniel Claxton won a state title in the boys high jump by marking 7 feet. 

A stacked girls 3000m produced five of the top six times in the nation this season.
