Cole Hocker (Indianapolis Cathedral High School, IN)

Career Timeline: 2015-2018

Highlights: Hocker was the 2018 Foot Locker Midwest and Foot Locker National Champion. He was also the Nike Cross Nationals Midwest Region champion and NXN runner up in 2018. 

Rationale: He performed well at both national meets including winning Foot Locker. 

Craig Lutz (Marcus High School, TX)

Career Timeline: 2007-2010

Highlights: Although most of his performances are from the previous decade, he was a three-time NXN All-American, including a third place effort in 2010. 

Rationale: Although he raced mostly in the last decade it would be remiss not to put Lutz on this list as he did compete well in 2010.  


Dylan Jacobs (Sandburg High School, IL)

Career Timeline: 2014-2017

Highlights: Dylan Jacobs followed in the footsteps of fellow Sandburg High School alumni Lukas Verzbicas and won a Foot Locker National title in 2017. He was also an All-American in 2016 at Foot Locker Nationals. In both 2017 (13th) and 2016 (19th), Jacobs was a Nike Cross Nationals All-American.  He also competed at NXN 2015 with his team. 

Rationale: He's a Foot Locker National Champion and multiple time All American at both National meets. 


Josh Methner (Hersey High School, IL)

Career Timeline: 2016-2019

Highlights: Methner was a two-time Foot Locker Nationals qualifier, finishing sixth in 2018 and winning in 2019. He was also a two-time NXN All-American with his runner-up finish in 2019 and 15th-place finish in 2018. He took down Craig Virgin's three-mile Detweiller course record and previous high school national record 3-mile time of 13:50.60. He's now the second-fastest high school athlete for 3-miles on grass all-time (13:49.90).

Rationale: He's a Foot Locker National champion NXN runner up and holds one of the fastest ever three-mile times on grass for a high school guy. 



Liam Anderson (Redwood High School, CA) 

Career Timeline: 2015-2018

Highlights: Liam Anderson was a three-time NXN qualifier. He finished 22nd in 2016, 3rd in 2017 and he won it all in 2018. He was also a two-time CIF State Champion in 2017 and 2018 and runner up in 2016. He was the NXN Glendoveer Golf Course course record holder for one year until Nico Young broke it in 2019.

Rationale: He was an NXN Champion and multiple time All-American. 



Reed Brown (Southlake Carroll, TX)

Career Timeline: 2013-2016

Highlights: Reed Brown competed at both Nike Cross Nationals and Foot Locker Nationals. He was a three-time NXN qualifier. He finished 99th in 2014, 14th in 2015, and 6th in 2016. In 2015, he was the Nike Cross Nationals South Regional Champion. He had an even more successful run at Foot Locker Nationals where he finished 16th in 2015 and was the national champion in 2016 his winning time of 15:01.80 in 2016 was the sixth-fastest time of the decade on the Balboa Park course. 

Rationale: He was a Foot Locker National champion and a multiple time NXN and Foot Locker All-American. 


Tanner Anderson (Spokane, WA)

Career Timeline: 2011-2014

Highlights: Anderson was a four-time NXN qualifier and three-time All-American. He finished third in 2013, 18th in 2012 and won NXN in 2014. He was also the two-time Nike Cross Nationals Northwest Regional Champion (2014-2013).

Rationale: Two-time NXN region winner three-time All-American including a national title.
