St Louis FR Jeremy Tabuyo joins an elite trio of Hawaii High School Track and Field Frosh/Soph that have broken the 11 second barrier in the boys 100m, stopping the FAT clocks at 10.98 and becoming the #1 seed in that event at this year's ILH Track and Field Championship. Kapolei SO Devin Jenkins (10.98) and Kaiser FR Saint Thompson (10.97) have also subbed 11 in the Boys 100m this season.
Tabuyo, who also plays football for the Crusaders, lowered his seed time (11.25) with his 10.98 Wednesday at the 2010 ILH Championship Trials at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus, site of this year's HHSAA Track and Field Championship 5/14-15/2010.
"When they announced the 10.98, I was shocked," said Tabuyo. "I didn’t expect to run that fast till maybe next year, and I sure didn’t expect to run that fast at (Kapalama).
